Portiuncula Hospital under severe pressure at Emergency Department

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says there are 25 patients on trolleys at the hospital today - one of the highest figures recorded in recent months.

The INMO has previously said that double figures pose a serious problem for the hospital, which has relatively limited capacity.

At UHG, there are 15 patients on trolleys or in over-capacity wards this afternoon.
