Chronic Kidney Disease affects an estimated 1 in 10 adults worldwide, while deaths linked to kidney disease are increasing every year.
Dr. Paul O' Hara started the Portiuncula Kidney Clinic in December to serve the needs of patients with Kidney issues across East Galway and Roscommon.

World Kidney Day takes place on Thursday and marks a global campaign to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys and what health measures we can take.
Dr. O' Hara says education is a key part of managing any chronic illness - and kidney disease is no different.
