Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Polish man has been granted bail after appearing in court in connection with a drugs seizure in Cornamona.
39 year old Marcin Piekarfki with an address at Lugacurra in Cornamona appeared before Derrynea District Court.
The man was arrested after Gardai in Clifden discovered 1.2 kilograms of cannabis herb following a planned search of a premises yesterday shortly after 3pm.
The search was carried out as part of an ongoing operation targetting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Connemara area.
The drugs have an estimated street value of 24 thousand euro pending analysis.
Marcin Piekarfki faces two charges involving the possession, and sale and supply of drugs.
At Derrynea District Court today, he was remanded on bail to appear before Clifden District Court on Thursday (23/03).
