Long awaited plans for Park and Ride facilities in Claregalway are starting to take shape.
The NTA is now looking at two site options for a 320 space facility on the N83.
That's according to Fianna Fail Councillor John Connolly, who says the NTA has confirmed to him that the project could move to construction as early as next year.
Claregalway is one of three areas set to get Park and Ride - the other two are Oranmore and where the M6 Motorway joins the N6.
Councillor Connolly says it's disappointing that despite plans for major capacity upgrades at Oranmore Train Station - there's seemingly no plan for more car parking.
