Plans to provide social housing at former Loughrea council offices

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The County Council is hoping to provide more social housing in Loughrea.

The local authority is in discussion with the Department of Housing with a view to redeveloping former council offices into 5 housing units.

The Council executive says the proposal will form part of a new social housing strategy for the county which will begin next year.
