Galway Bay fm newsroom: Plans have been lodged for the construction of a 172 residential unit development, East of the Ballymoneen Road at Ballyburke.
The project is led by statutory receivers Roger Keogh and Con Cronin of GVA Donal O'Buachalla.
The development would consist of 32 apartments in a four storey apartment complex and 42 apartments in a three storey apartment complex.
It also sets out to build 56 terrace units, 12 three-bed semi detached houses and 30 four-bed semi-detached houses.

There are also plans to develop a creche facility with associated outdoor play areas and car parking.
City planners are due to make a decision on the development next month.
