Galway Bay fm newsroom - Plans have been lodged for a new Lidl store in Moycullen.
It would be part of a proposed mixed-use development at An Fuarán and would create 30 new jobs.
The development would comprise a 2,200 square metre discount foodstore with 112 car-parking spaces, as well as two standalone retail units and 5 residential units.
Lidl says it is working with architects and planners to create a design with bespoke finishes, to ensure the store will suit the surroundings and contribute positively to the area.
The proposed development also include a range of sustainability features, including electric vehicle charger spaces and a solar panel system.
If approved, the planned development would expand Lidl's Galway portfolio to nine stores.
