Galway Bay fm newsroom - Plans for a Primary Care Centre in Oranmore remain stalled due to a dispute between the HSE and the developer.
The dispute dates back to last year - but a meeting has heard there's been no breakthrough since.
The centre would be located at Limerick Road, near Lidl, and planning permission was granted almost two years ago.
It'd offer a wide range of services including public health, community nursing, physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, x-ray services and counselling.
But the developer indicated last year that the original commercial deal offered to the HSE was no longer viable due to market conditions.
It sought to agree new commercial terms before the signing of an Agreement for Lease.
But at a meeting of the Health Forum West this week, it was confirmed to Councillor Liam Carroll that discussions between both parties haven't resolved the matter.
He was advised that the developer now has the option of proceeding as per their original priced offer, or the location will be readvertised.
The HSE says it intends to close out on the Oranmore project in the coming weeks, and a new process could be started quickly if required.
