The plan to regenerate Dunmore town will not start until May at the earliest
Councillors are concerned at the slow movement in a project which is needed to make the town safer
The plan includes the demolition of properties to widen the street and to allow for two way traffic.
It was confirmed by officials at this week's meeting of Tuam Municipal District that while there is progress it's slow due to necessity
In the meantime, locals have concerns about the safety of some of the buildings and have requested that overhanging gutters be removed or secured.
Councillor Ollie Turner told Kevin O'Dwyer while the timeline's disappointing there is a solid plan and some work will start soon
