Galway Bay fm newsroom - Plans have been lodged for the construction of a pharmacy retail unit and temporary modular MRI building at Tuam Road in the city.
The project is led by Galway Primary Care and the development would be based at Harrmack House.
The modular MRI would be contained in an enclosure and the plan also proposes additional car parking spaces.
City planners are due to make a decision in September.
