Over €700,000 has been awarded to projects in Galway under the CLÁR Programme.
It's part of a €11.4m investment by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
The €724,000 in Galway funding will be spread out among schools, community groups, tidy towns groups and sports clubs.
Among the Galway projects are the enhancements of walking tracks, the installation of sensory play equipment in parks and the upgrading of pitch facilities.

The fund is spread across the county - including Dunmore, Connemara, Gort and Woodford.
