Over €23m for active travel projects across Galway

From Galway Bay FM newsroom- More than €23m in funding is on the way to connect communities across Galway and make walking and cycling a safe transport alternative

The Government's Active Travel Investment Programme will fund 64 projects across Galway city and county.

This will include cycling and footpath infrastructure, pedestrian crossings, public transport measures, investment in the Safe to Schools programme and the development of local greenways.
