Over 1900 people waiting for driving test in Galway city

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Over 1900 people now waiting to take their driving test in Galway city.

Figures released by the Road Safety Authority show 1957 people are waiting to sit their test in the city.

A further 770 people are on the waiting list in Loughrea, with 633 waiting in Tuam and 243 in Clifden.

Meanwhile, over 90,000 people are waiting to sit the test nationwide.

It comes as there's now a 10 week plan awaiting approval from the Department of Transport which aims to mitigate waiting times.
