Over 1200 cases of Covid 19 recorded in Galway in last fortnight

Galway Bay fm newsroom - 1208 cases of Covid 19 were recorded in Galway over the last 14 days.

That's according to the latest figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre for the two week period up to last Friday.

The data reveals Galway has an incidence rate of 468.1 per 100 thousand in population.

This is below the national average which stands at 544.5.

Longford has the highest rate of infection in the period at 1105.9, while Mayo has the lowest at 361.7.
