Outage in Kilkerrin Moylough due to deterioration in raw water quality

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Households supplied by the Kilkerrin Moylough public water supply are experiencing water outages today.

It's due to a deterioration in the raw water quality coming into the treatment plant caused by weather conditions.

Irish Water and Galway County Council say they will continue to monitor the situation today in accordance with Level 5 restrictions.

Irish Water’s Asset Operations Lead for Galway, Tim O’Connor says technical staff are continuing to monitor the raw water quality coming into the plant.

He says this will result in outages while the filtration system is adjusted.
