Galway Bay fm newsroom - One million euro is being invested in a solar project based in Oranmore.
The CMLS building in Glenascaul Industrial Park will have its roof upgraded to solar power.
The project, led by Astatine, is expected to half the cost of the local company's electricity bill.
It's also to bring carbon cuts of 25 percent for the Oranmore cold storage facility.
