Two new major state-of-the-art facilities have been officially opened by Tanáiste Michéal Martin at Merlin Park Hospital today.
One is a 15.33 million euro Outpatients Department, which will facilitate many of the outpatient clinics currently held at UHG.
Over the coming weeks and months outpatient appointments in specialities like General Medical, Surgery, Neurology and other specialities will take place there.
While the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit, worth 3.64 million euro will meet the needs of modern patients who primarily rely on outpatient care, and the unit will become operational by next February.
