Galway Bay fm newsroom - An NUI Galway study is recruiting families to measure people's exposure to herbicides.
The study concerns the herbicide called glyphosate in particular, which is found in over 750 products used in agriculture and gardening.
A minimum of 100 families will be recruited to the study - with half being from a farming background.
Interested families - with two parents and one child aged between 6 and 17 years old - can get involved by contacting NUI Galway.
Principal Investigator of the study, Dr Marie Coggins says it's important to fully understand how chemical exposures affect human health.
