Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new study led by NUI Galway has revealed women are disproportionately affected in house repossession cases.
The study also found almost half of repossessions in a nine month period last year were sought by high street banks.
Permanent TSB, which is three quarters-owned by the State, accounted for one in five of the mortgage cases examined.
