NUIG Slips Down List of Worlds Top Universities

NUI Galway has slipped down the list of the latest world university rankings.

The Times Higher Education world university rankings 2022 includes more than 1,600 universities across 99 countries and regions.

NUI Galway dropped into the 351-400 category of the listing, down from 301-350 last year.

Trinity College Dublin remains Ireland’s leading university, climbing nine places to 146th.

The fall in rankings by NUIG and three other Irish universities will put the spotlight back on what the higher education sector describes as a sustainable funding model.
