Galway Bay fm newsroom - A research project at NUIG has found that teenagers in Ireland are ditching sugary soft drinks at the fastest rate in Europe.
A new study published by the University’s Health Promotion Research Centre found major reductions between 2002 and 2018.
During that time, there was an 85 percent drop in the number of Irish adolescents consuming sugary soft-drinks on a daily basis.
Ireland’s dramatic fall was followed by England, with a reduction of 75 percent, and Norway, at 72 percent - to find out more, tune in to Galway Bay fm news on the hour
