NUIG makes significant rise in global rankings

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The latest international college ratings show NUI Galway has made a significant rise in its ranking into the 250 – 300 range.

This compares to a ranking in the 301-350 range last year.

The Times Higher Education Rankings, now in their 16th year, applies rigorous standards, using global benchmarks across all university’s key missions.

In a statement to Galway Bay fm news, NUIG says its improved position is due to its continued focus on research excellence and its impact.

Although NUIG has improved its position in the rankings, Trinity College in Dublin has slipped 44 places and now stands at 164th place.

UCD and UCC remain in the 201 to 250 bracket.
