Galway Bay fm newsroom - NUI Galway will next week host the sixth annual National Public and Patient Involvement in Research Conference.
Public and patient Involvement - known as PPI - helps ensure that health and care research is relevant to patients and their needs.
It also aims to help ensure that the results of research are shared with the public and patients in an accessible way.
The theme for this year’s conference is "PPI: Creating the New Normal in Research" and will celebrate the successful integration of PPI into research in recent years.
Contributors will include medical experts, researchers and PPI contributors - while there'll also be interactive Q&A sessions.
The free conference will take place on Wednesday, April 28th, from 10am - registration is required at EventBrite.ie.
