Galway Bay fm newsroom - The NUI Galway Students Union has launched a consent workshop for first year students.
Over 40 volunteers have been trained to deliver the 'Smart Consent Programme'.
The workshop includes an interactive one hour session on what sexual consent means.
NUI Galway Student Union Welfare and Equality Officer Clare Austick says the initiative aims to create a dialogue and empower students in making the right decisions.
