Galway Bay fm newsroom:
NUI Galway has confirmed student timetables will be issued next week.
It comes as students have expressed growing concern over a lack of information on whether they'll be expected to attend classes on-campus or if lectures and tutorials will be held online - to facilitate Covid-19 restrictions.
Returning students are to recommence their studies on September 28th, but many are awaiting information from the university before signing leases and paying deposits for accommodation in the city.
President of NUIG Students' Union, Padraic Toomey says students have been left in limbo throughout the summer.
He says it's important clear information is provided so students don't suffer financially due to unnecessary accommodation costs.
