Galway Bay fm newsroom - Concerns about the way many third-level institutions, including NUI Galway, spend taxpayers' money will be outlined in a report by the Dáil's Public Accounts Committee today. (11/7)
It's expected that the report will be critical of several universities which have not declared millions of euro from private trusts and foundations in their accounts.
Earlier this year it was revealed that Galway University Foundation Limited had assets of 57 million euro.
The funds in such foundations don't form part of the accounts of the university, even though they benefit the institutions.
