The chief of the National Transport Authority has admitted that there is a "shortcoming" in bus services between Loughrea and Galway City.
That's according to Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon, who's met with Anne Graham to discuss the need for buses later in the evenings.
He says it's not acceptable that the last service is at 6.30pm, given Loughrea is a town of almost 6 thousand people.
Deputy Cannon says it's been shown that people will use public transport - but the options have to be there.
