Galway Bay fm newsroom - A normal water supply is expected to be restored to Carraroe and surrounding areas this morning.
It follows a mechanical failure at the local water treatment plant, which led to severe water disruptions throughout the day yesterday.
In a statement, Irish Water says the incident caused the water levels in the reservoirs to deplete.
It expects water levels to return to normal for all customers by this morning.
