Galway Bay fm newsroom - A large fast tracked social housing project promised for Galway won't be delivered until the end of next year at the earliest.
The factory built modular apartments are part of a thousand rapid build housing units promised nationally by Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy over six months ago.
In Galway, the planned social housing units would take the form of clusters of prefabricated individual units featuring wrap around supports and services.
The Galway family hubs are being provided in conjunction with the Peter Mcverry Trust and are still in the procurement phase.
According to the Irish Independent, no timeline has yet been set for the delivery of the units in Galway.
Work on the project's pilot sites in Dublin is expected to begin in the first three months of 2019.
