No arrests yet in serious assault at Spanish Arch in the city

Galway Bay fm newsroom - No arrests have yet been made in relation to the assault of a man and a woman walking in the Spanish Arch area of the city over the weekend

The man in his sixties, and the woman in her twenties, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the incident

The assault took place in the early hours of Sunday between 1.35 and 1.45

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the assault, or who may have any information to contact them at 091-53 8000
