Night-time water restrictions lifted on Inis Oirr

Night-time water restrictions are to be lifted on Inis Oirr with immediate effect.

The restrictions were imposed in May in a bid to ensure a continuous daily water supply was available for residents and businesses.

Water reserves on the island have since recovered following rainfall over the past six weeks.

Irish Water says this is sufficient to ensure a continuous water supply into the autumn.
