A new state-of-the-art Cardiothoracic ward has opened at University Hospital Galway.
The 13 bed ward has three isolation rooms, a waiting area for patients and a treatment room.
It cost 4.71 million euro to design, build and equip and has a 24 hour monitoring facility.
