Galway Bay fm newsroom - New road safety measures have been agreed for Corrandulla village.
The engineering section of Galway County Council has agreed to install speedramps and a pedestrian crossing.
It's hoped the works will get underway in the coming months.
Athenry/Oranmore councillor James Charity says over 3,600 vehicles travel through the village every day, and ramps are badly needed.
