Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new post office has been secured for Kinvara more than six months after the closure of the local branch.

Councillor Joe Byrne says a new postmaster has now been appointed by An Post and the new service will be located at Costcutter.
He's hopeful it'll be operational as soon as the end of next month.

Since last August, when former postmasters Carmel and Ger Ryan retired after 25 years service, the local community has been forced to travel to Kilcolgan to access services.
