The TFI Local Link is to introduce a new night-time service between Galway city and Loughrea from Monday week December 23rd.
It will operate three evening services Monday to Sunday from Galway Cathedral, Eyre Square, The G Hotel, ATU and Oranmore Centre from 7.25pm, 9.25pm and 11.25pm
It will also improve connectivity for the villages and areas of Oranmore, Derrydonnell Cross, Craughwell, Athenry Road and Loughrea
This new route is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan which is a major national public transport initiative
Galway East Independent TD Sean Canney says it's a viable alternative to the car, and more such services are needed for Galway:
