The new four million euro Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Merlin Park is nearing completion.
Construction on the unit, located opposite the Pulmonary Outpatient Department in Unit 8, began in September 2023.
The single-storey building will provide a dedicated area for the multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, patient focused care with integral consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic resources.
The HSE has confirmed the unit is in the final stages of completion, and the commissioning of equipment and fit out is currently ongoing.

An opening date is yet to be confirmed, but it had previously been estimated the unit would be open this month.
