New car registrations increase by 18% in Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - New cars registrations for the month of January increased by 18% in Galway.

According to the latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, 1,199 new registrations were recorded in Galway last month, compared to 1,012 in January 2021.

Nationally, new cars registrations for the month of January were down slightly at 25,140.

Used car imports saw a 40% decrease in January, when compared with January 2021.

However, new electric car registrations reached their highest month on record with 2,714 registered in January 2022.
