New car registrations in Galway down by 10 per cent

Galway Bay fm newsroom - There has been a 10 per cent drop in the number of new car registrations in Galway in the first 8 months of this year compared to the same period last year.

The latest figures from the Society of the Motor Industry show that just over 4 thousand cars were registered in Galway between January and August.

This compares to more than 4 and a half thousand in the first eight months of last year.

Nationally new car registrations are down by almost 8 per cent for the year to date.
