New campaign aims to draw professionals back to the West from overseas

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new campaign has been launched to attract working professionals back to the West of Ireland from overseas.

It's targetting those traveling home for Christmas - and aims to encourage them to consider staying to avail of a range of local opportunities.

The launch of the the new campaign comes as many people around the world are now planning to travel home for Christmas for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The message from the Western Development Commission is simple - if you're coming home to Galway for the festive season, why not stay.

It says the West offers a fantastic quality of life and opportunities for challenging careers without compromising on the all important work-life balance.

A special online event will take place next month to showcase jobs on offer across a wide range of sectors, ranging from Tech, to Engineering, to Healthcare.

Featuring an extensive panel of industry speakers and experts, it'll also focus on opportunities like remote working, as well as the key challenges in the current climate.
