Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new link road off the Athenry by-pass connecting it with Presentation College is set to officially open this week.

Galway County Council has confirmed the opening to Galway East Junior Minister Sean Canney and Independent Councillor Gabe Cronnelly.
The road, which runs through IDA land, aims to provide safe access to the school and eliminate traffic congestion at the Raheen Woods Hotel entrance.

Independent Minister Canney says the move will lead to greatly improved traffic flow at a very busy location.
