Nearly 11,000 homes and businesses without power in Galway this morning

10,922 homes and businesses in Galway are without power this morning after Storm Ellen passed through the county.

Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.

In Loughrea, 2,300 homes and business are experiencing outages, while there are 805 impacted homes and businesses in Athenry.

1100 customers in Ballygar are without power, while 870 properties in Claregalway are affected.

112 homes and businesses in Kilcolgan and 59 in Headford are also without power this morning.

In the city, Salthill is the only area affected - where 108 properties have no access to power.

Meanwhile, Galway County Council is reporting fallen trees and debris across the county as a result of the storm.
