Naval service detains fishing vessel West of Inishbofin

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Naval Service has this week detained an Irish registered fishing vessel approximately 50 nautical miles west of Inishbofin.

The detention by the LE James Joyce was in relation to an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

The vessel was escorted to Castletownbere, Co. Cork, where it was handed over to the Gardaí.

This is the fifth vessel detained by the Naval Service so far this year.
