National Youth Council calls for more funding for Galway apprenticeships

Galway Bay fm newsroom - There are almost 700 young people on apprenticeship programmes in Galway according to the National Youth Council of Ireland.

The council is calling for more funding in the budget to support people into an apprenticeship and other employment and training measures.

Nationally the number of apprenticeships this year is 16 thousand compared to just over 10 thousand in 2016.
