Galway Bay fm newsroom - The M6 motorway has been closed between junction 15 Ballinasloe West and Junction 16 Loughrea and following a crash.
A truck left the road on the westbound lane on the Loughrea side of the toll shortly before 9am.
Gardai say the incident happened due to the high winds still battering the county today.
The motorway (westbound only) will remain closed to traffic between Ballinasloe and Kiltullagh while the truck is towed from the scene.
