More than 300 adults access emergency accommodation in last week of June in West

Galway Bay fm newsroom - More than 300 people accessed local authority-managed emergency accommodation during one week at the end of June in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon.

According to data from the Department of Housing, 337 adults accessed the emergency measures between the 24th and 30th of June in the three counties.

The data also shows that 87 families were homeless during the last week of June in the West.

Galway, Mayo and Roscommon accounted for 5 per cent of homelessness in the country at the end of June.
