Galway Bay fm newsroom - Minister of State for Sport and Tourism, Brendan Griffin will visit Galway today for a series of meetings about the Connemara Greenway.
Minister Griffin has been invited down by Junior Minister and Galway West T.D Seán Kyne.
He will start his trip by visiting Ballynahinch to view several kilometres of greenway that the county council has progressed through Fáilte Ireland funding.
The council has been working on the project from Cloonbeg to Athry adjacent to Ballynahinch Castle and Ballinafad graveyard.
Minister Griffin will also attend meetings with several groups including Connemara Greenway Action Group and local district councillors.
