Minister Hildegarde Naughton does not want to see army at Dublin Airport

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Junior transport minister and Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton says she doesn't want to see the Defence Forces deployed to deal with security staff shortages at Dublin Airport.

The government approved the measure yesterday following a request from the DAA.

Members of the army will be on standby from July 6th to August 15th.

But Minister Naughton says the government has to be prepared to deal with any potential shortages at the airport during the summer season:
