Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Minister Housing, Community and Local Government says the responsibility for resolving the traffic congestion in Parkmore lies with the city council.

Simon Coveney, who is a contender for the Fine Gael leadership, was speaking during a visit to Galway today.

He is meeting Parkmore business leaders and Galway Chamber representatives this afternoon in a meeting organised by Galway West / South Mayo T.D, Hildegarde Naughton.

Speaking to NewsBreak, Minister Coveney says the government will provide whatever funding is necessary but the issue has to be managed by the local authority.
