Galway Bay fm newsroom - MEP for the West, Mairead McGuinness has met with Pope Francis in The Vatican.
The MEP was in Rome for a conference entitled 'Christians' contributions on the future of Europe'.
MEP McGuinness, who is Vice-President of the European Parliament, discussed the future of Europe and her role in the EU with the Pontiff during the private audience.
