Mayor of Galway to walk 100 miles in community engagement effort

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Mayor of Galway Mike Cubbard is to walk 100 miles in a bid to strengthen ties with the community.

The Independent councillor will begin his campaign in mid-September and will walk a mile a day for 100 days to visit every corner of the city.

The initiative aims to bring residents and community groups together while also gathering feedback on local issues of concern.

He's calling on community leaders, sports clubs, residents associations and community Gardai to share the one mile journey with him in their local area.
